The RCD included is suitable for use in electric vehicle charging systems as residual current protection, per: BS7671:18 722.531.2.101
Note: The Type B RCD should not be confused with a Type B RCBO. RCBO's do not provide DC leakage protection. Type B RCBO's are often marketed incorrectly as Type B RCD's on other websites and online auction sites.

There is two MCB's included in the consumer unit, typically the 40amp MCB would be used for the EV charge point circuit, the other 20amp MCB can be used or left unused if not required, the 20amp MCB could be used for instance, but not limited to, garage lighting or sockets / a solar panel instalation etc, or left unused for possible future use if not required at the time of the EV charge point installation
