This unit is a mode 3 charging device that can be used to charge an electric or plug in hybrid vehicle, it has a type 2 universal socket and can charge any EV or PHEV with the corresponding cable, usually supplied with the vehicle. Its intelligent hardware communicates with your vehicle for safe, efficient charging.

Charges a typical electric car, such as a Nissan Leaf or Renault Zoe, from empty to full in 3 to 6 hours. You can use this EV charger to charge any plug in vehicle even if it takes a lower max power such as 16amp/3.6kw, the charger adjusts the output to the level the car is happy with up to 7.4kw per hour.
To initiate a charge you simply plug your cable into your vehicle and the other end into this charge point. No keys, apps or cards are required. The charge point will communicate with the vehicle and stop charging when the vehicle is full or when the plug/cable is removed from the vehicle by the user.
The charge point will need to be installed on its own dedicated circuit, in line with building regulations and by a qualified electrician. The unit comes with installation and operating instructions. It can be installed at a domestic or business premises.
The unit is fitted with AC (30mA) and DC (6mA) leakage protection, so can be installed without the need for an additional Type B RCD.
