This is a rapid DC EV charger, CHR-30 made by Electway.
The charging unit has a max output of upto 30kw and will charge a typical electric car in as little as 50 minutes from empty to full, over 4 x faster than a standard AC fast charger.
A typical electric car is limited to 7kw per hour when charging from AC, with DC however the limit is typically 50 to 100kw per hour, so the CHR-30 can charge at its max rate for most vehicles.
It comes with both CCS and Chademo connectors so can charge any make and model of vehicle that has DC charging capabilities (most full electric cars can charge with DC), you simply swap the connector using the quick release attachment depending on the vehicle you are charging.
Ideal for a commercial premises with a 3-phase supply, such as a car dealership or car park
The unit is portable and can be unplugged from the supply and moved to another location with ease, so multiple vehicles can be rapid charged without moving them.
The supply needs to be 3-phase from a 63amp CEE socket or larger, a 5m 63amp CEE cable is supplied with the unit to connect between your buildings socket and the charger.
